Artistic (synchronized) swimming is a challenging sport that provides swimmers with many unique skills and opportunities. Our athletes develop strength, flexibility, grace, stamina, confidence and pride in their club and their sport. As members of a team, the swimmers learn about commitment and sportsmanship. It is the goal of Pacific Waves Synchronized Swim Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each swimmer to the best of their abilities.
All swimmers will be evaluated in the fall during trials and placed on the appropriate team at that time. The hours of swimming per week is determined by the level of the team.
Intro to Synchro Lessons
As a new challenge for a strong swimmer or as a complement to swimming lessons, our innovative lessons programs offer a fun activity and an introduction to a unique and challenging sport. Swimmers will learn basic skills such as sculling and body positions which are the fundamentals of synchronized swimming but also develop routine skills such as vertical and figure positions as well as transitions.
Our lessons program is for swimmers with no experience in synchronized swimming. Swimmers will learn basic skills and a routine to music.
All swimmers need to feel very comfortable swimming in deep water.
Classes are 30 minutes.
